94 honda accord lx starting problems?
My 94 honda accord lx (224,000miles) has had starting issues for a LONG time, and no one seems to really know what's going on, I've replaced the rotor, and it helped for about a week. The car turns over but won't catch sometimes, usually after running, then turning it off for 10 min or less and trying to restart it. I then have to wait about 10 min before it will do anything other than just turn over. I've tried turning the key and letting the fuel pumps charge or whatever and that doesn't seem to make a difference. It's a very finicky problem that shows up with no apparent pattern. Any help would relieve a LOT of frustration!
I would suspect the starter, especially if it's the one from the factory… Some auto parts stores will check starters for free… Also possible that the starter gets hot from being near the engine block, and when it's hot, it won't work
This is classic. Replace fuel pump relay. Also called "Main relay".
I agree with Boomerangst (he deserves best answer) - the "main relay" is the top suspect. The source has details and a test, but you can also try whapping the top of the dash with your open hand just forward of the steering wheel. That will often shock the relay into making contact. Replacing it is not difficult except for the access. It is under the dash above the steering column way the heck at the top, on the long bolt that holds the cruise control computer. I prefer to just pull the guts out of the housing and stick the new one in rather than wrestle with the giant bolt.
- Starting problems Honda c100? I have recently restored a Honda c100 and now can't start it. The best I can get is a slow tick over for about 20seconds if I have the choke and throttle fully open. This to me says to much fuel. I have changed the fuel hoses and the new ones had a slightly bigger bore diameter. These go from the tank to the tap on the carb. Would this be causing my problems or does the tap restrict the flow anyway.
- 98 honda 600cbr starting problems? Bought it off a guy. Has been sitting for about 2 months. Has fuel.new spark plugs. Clean the carbs. Just keeps turning and won't start. Does give back fire when trying to start for 20 second or more. What could it be?!

- My honda accord 2005 isn't starting, but the lights all turn on? My car isn't starting. I haven't done anything new, I treat her pretty well. Recently had an oil change and the wheels aligned it was fine for 3 weeks. Now the car isn't starting, we'll the engine isn't purring like it should. It's not the gas and I know it's not the battery. The lights, radio and ac all turn! I know it's not the fuse box either. Any clue what it could be? Trying to fix it myself.
