Car Won't Start/Battery problems?

So I was playing the radio in my car with the engine turned off but the key turned once. It ended up killing my battery and my car wouldn't start. I jumped it from a friends car, and then the car started. I put the cables from her car on the ground to close her hood, and but then they touched and my cars engine turned off immediately and wouldnt start, then I accidentally crossed the posnand neg cables in her car to charge mine again. There were sparks, so then i put the cables the right way to try and start mine again and it wouldn't work.

In the beginning the car was really close to starting but ever since the cables touched on the ground, the car doesn't even crank or make a sound when i turn the key.
Its a Honda Accord 2000 LX, do you guys have any idea what I can do to fix it?

Sounds like you blew a block fuse (expensive) or blew out the battery or blew out the starter

Fuses and cylenoids. (not spelled right?) (Big fuses in the fuse box).

If you do not find a blown fuse then take the battery out and go to Autozone or equivalent and have it checked for a bad cell. If the jumper cables just briefly touched the battery should be OK. If they were together for several seconds you shorted the battery and may have damaged a cell. You could also check this by removing the batteryand replacing it temporarily with a borrowed battery. It does not have to fit---just used to check the system.

You didn't FRY your car. You did blow at least one FUSIBLE LINK (MaxiFuse). They are in the Fuse/Relay box near the battery. Some have one on the Positive battery cable. Look under the box and you'll see the them. The smaller ones plug in and the bigger ones bolt in. Sometimes you need to take the box loose. If so, take the Ground Terminal off the Battery until you're done. They are not expensive, parts stores have them.

You probably popped either a fusible link or some maxi fuses. You'll hVe to find where the power is cut off.
