How many miles is too much on a used car and how many is okay or decent? - 1
Added (1). For a Honda Accord or Civic.
That depends on the make of the car and the price being asked for it.
Most people think over 100,000K is too much but it depends on the type of car and condition its in.
IMO, anything more than 60K miles is too much. Okay or decent would be less than 30k miles
- Is it okay to buy Honda CR-V with 75,000 miles? I'm considering to buy either 2008 Honda CR-V with 75,000 miles or 2008 Toyota RAV4 with 66,000 miles. Both have clean records and are in similar price range. They are all Front Wheel Drive, as I won't need 4WD or AWD. I'm a recent graduate and this will be my first car purchase. RAV4 had two owners, but it looks like they both have clean records. Just wondering if either will last long without much problems.
- What type of cool decent not too expensive cars do you recommend for a college freshman? I want a cheap decent car but to be cool and have a weird some unique style, even if it's old model. I can get a honda or toyota 4cylinder but they are too plain and everywhere. I want something cool yet economic and cheap but I don't know A lot of models. I don't mind an old pontiac or buick coupe but I don't know which model and they are not economic right. I don't know ahh probably a stupid civic is all I got.
- What is a good mileage to look for in a Honda Civic, Scion xB, and Toyota Prius to be used for a few years without too many problems? I'm looking at the above mentioned cars to be used for 1-3 years, but I do not know the mileage to look for. I d like to know the milage lifetime for each car mentioned, and approximately at how many miles the car will survive without having consistent problems. If you could give me the answer for each kind of car, or even one of them it would be greatly appreciated.
- Is this too many miles for a hybrid? I have a 2008 honda civic hybrid, with 320k miles on it with the original engine, transmission, and battery, my friend told me most hybrid batteries don't even last 150k miles and that i should sell mine before something goes wrong, is he right?
