How much longer can a 2001 Honda Accord go with 186,000 miles on it?
The big concern is for the transmission, if it is an automatic and especially if it has the six cylinder engine. 2001 was in the Great Honda Automatic Transmission Debacle, in which their automatic transmissions dropped like flies (many lasted less than 100K miles). You can call your Honda dealer and give the service writer the VIN number. The service writer will be able to tell whether the transmission had the oil jet modification done, mostly fixing the problem, or not.
Depends on the pAst maintenance of the car… I've seen accords all the way to 250k miles… But i've seen some finish at 160k. So there's no way of telling. As long as you have kept good care of it in the past, and continue to take care of it, it can last u a long time. But if it has been abused in the past(not changing oil, not fixing noises, not fixing leaks, or using it to speed too much) then it won't last as long as it could
There's an Accord with one million miles on in at the Honda plant in Ohio. It was driven by a delivery driver in the mid west
14 years old? The body is probably showing signs of rust (unless you been keeping on top of that) Heck, I BUY cars when they are 25+ years old and they are made into reliable vehicles(I have a hobby of fixing old cars then reselling them. It is something to do. You may go out tomorrow or may last 350+K miles. There's no expiry marker on the car. If you drive it reasonably and maintain it when it needs it, it can last, and you can use the money you save on buying another car on BEER.(or something else)
- Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well
- 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000? Is this a good deal? I need to buy a new car and today I got an offer on a 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000. I'm a 19 year old girl and I know nothing about cars D: Are Honda Fits good cars? Should I buy this with so many miles already on it? Also, I like to travel. Will this car be safe to drive long distances?
- Should I get a transmission flush on my 2001 Honda Accord DX with 165,000 miles on it? Well it's more like should I buy my friend's 2001 Honda Accord DX with 165,000 miles on it? He told me that there's nothing wrong with the transmission, but since the car is old that I might need to flush out the transmission.
- Is a 2001 Honda accord with 165,000 miles a good deal for $1800? Coupe, 4 cylinders car. I only have this amount of money and i don't want to waste it on a useless car that will cost more in the future. The guy said he does maintenance and oil change himself.
