Hi that could be expensive the oil has to be drained as it is in the sump for a start. Then there's the fact the car needs to up on a ramp. So a ball park figure could be 200-300 pounds or 300-450 dollars.
- My 1977 Honda CB400F oil pan cracked? I'm having trouble finding a new one. I was wondering if there are other years that are compatible or if there's just a good way to fix it.
- How much should it cost to replace ignition? I own a honda prelude 1999, when i go to start it the dash lights turn on and the radio and i can turn the key which starts it but when i turn the key back to the position it would drive in the car shuts off. Also sometimes when i'm driving it stalls when it shouldn't. Do i need a new ignition or is it something else and if so how much would it cost in a mechanic shop to be fixed? And how much would it cost to just buy an ignition and do it myself?
- Cost of oil pan replacement too high? 2001 Honda Civic with 225,000 miles. A few months ago, while having it in for an oil change, I was told by the service advisor that it needed a new oil pan as about half of the the threads had been stripped. They quoted me roughly $600. Why so high? What factors into this cost? Pricey parts/long labor? Or is it just the dealer being a little money-hungry?
