Need mechanics help radiator fan?

I have a 1992 Honda accord and recently the weather has changed and it gets very hot outside and i noticed my radiator fan doesn't turn on when it should. I replaced the fan switch on the front of the engine block on top of the upper radiator hose connector and found a short on the wiring harness. I fixed the short in the harness by removing the terminals and linking them directly to the sensor but my fan still doesn't turn on. I have the manual and it says there could be many other reason the fan doesn't turn on but it doesn't exactly tell me what they are. Relay works the fan works but it doesn't turn on when it should ex when in park i rev up to 4000 rpms after car has been idling with normal tempartures the fan turned on, i did this a second time fan did not turn on and the car began to overheat any advice where are the other fan switches i can't seem to find them using the book because it is unclear thanks

If the fan isn't automatically cutting in to cool the engine, the problem is probably the thermostatic switch (your new one could be faulty or the wrong type).
The other possibility is that the relay is sticking due to wear, try swapping it with another of the same rating and pin layout if you have one on the car, or buy one, they are cheap.

If you found a short then the fuse is probably blown.

Check your feues ther should be one for the fan relay and sender use an om meter and test all the feuses a short can fry them allover
