Best wheel locking nuts for expensive wheels?
I thought locking nuts were all same but I heard people saying get some quality ones if you got expensive wheels, what do they mean by that? Which locking nuts are best? I have 1996 Honda Civic EK4 with BBS wheels.
Get whatever you like. They're all straightforward to remove using special tools which are widely available.
Locking wheel nuts only deter the most casual opportunist thieves.
I searched long, and bought Gorilla full set locks for my aluminum wheels. Every lugnut is a lock, so it's a time/energy deterrent to a thief.

I have used all the popular wheel locks since the early 1970s, and for several reasons, chose these for my last 5 vehicles.
- Do I need to check for loose nuts in my old car? I have a 2001 honda crv. When I check the source of a clunk noise in it I found a loose nut in the control bar. I tightened it and no noise now. Do I need to check all the other nuts with somebody? Is there any such kind of service for old cars?
- CR V Mk 1 central locking issues? I have issues with my Honda CR V mk1 1999. When locking with the key only the drivers side locks. I have to lock all the other door from the inside afterwards. When I turn the key to unlock all doors unlock. If I lock all doors from the inside before I shut the drivers door they unlock when I close it. Anyone got any ideas what is wrong, needs replacing etc? Cheers Neil
- Car door lock I press the switch and I hear clicking but there's no response far as locking or unlocking Is it the door lock actuator or door lock relay? I aiming towards the door lock actuator. If it is do that mean that I have to get fixed on both sides. I only have one door switch. I have 2001 Honda civic hx
- Will it be okay if I change the wheels on my 2014 Honda Accord LX with some wheels from a similar year Honda Accord Sport? So I would like to get some OEM Honda Accord sport wheels on my LX but will I be able to just simply switch them? As far as I'm concerned they should but should I worry that the sport Tire is 1.5" larger in width and the rim is 2" larger?
