Start with plugs and wires. That will catch 90% of the cases.
You should have gotten the code. Try swapping plug wires #2 and #3. Inspect the plugs and see what condition they are in.
Hi Samantha - after the new spark plugs & wires are installed, you will need to take the vehicle back to that auto parts store, where they will need to reattach the OBD code reader and clear the codes from the vehicle's computer… The employee @ the auto parts store is 100 % WRONG when he said that the codes will "go off"! The codes will show again and keep showing unless they are cleared from the vehicle computer using the OBD reader… He may be trying to sell you more parts or just does not know how to clear the codes!

- Does the honda 600rr have its transmission in its engine? I bought a used honda 600 and it has a transmission problem. I went to a repair shop and he said they can't fix it because they have to completely disassemble the engine and that is a mess. Is it true and did he just say that because he doesn't want to do it?
- 2000 Manual Honda CRV misfiring? Earlier today my CRV misfired on my way home, while I was trying to get it going in first. Once the blinking engine light turned on I pulled over and turned the car off. A couple minutes later I turned the car back on and it seemed fine. I had to drive 2 hours back home and it sounded fine and no lights came on. Do I still need to take it to the mechanic?
