What 4 stroke engine would fit a honda nsr?
So, are you talking about the NSR500 engines?: C'mon man, I've wanted one and I'm still buying lottery tickets like crazy every week for the last 12 years.
These engines are purely race engines and as far as I know there are only seven in existence. Two of them are with Mick Doohan (as he blitzed the field on the MotoGP circuit) and are collected NSR 500's. There are three that are with Honda and there are two out there somewhere.
If you want to buy one then Honda probably will sell you one of those three for about $250,000. But you can get a replica engine which is also very expensive costing around $80,000 to $100,000 to make.
I'm sorry, you won't find one unless you're a millionaire. The NSR500 engine if any has been road survived in the last twenty years probably have been thrashed to death, crashed long ago or be meticulously preserved and became collectors items. If you looking for/ to any small/midweight sports bike engine, you'd probably have much better luck: Ninja, Bandit, CBR and GSXR 600s are ubiquitous and you can probably find a crashed one in a bike salvage yard without nearly as much trouble as finding a working, antique race engine like the NSR500.
You could, perhaps go super-lightweight and use an old DT125 or equivalent if you want a lightweight two-stroke, but 600cc sports bikes probably give the best power/weight for something available to poor guy like… Me (Still buying lottery tickets weekly. Lol)
I'm dreaming. Still. This engine look beautiful. Isn't it? Look at it:
- Would a 125cc 4 stroke scooter be able to keep up with a 125cc sports bike? I'm thinking of getting a Sym Jet 4 125cc, and my friend rides a Honda CBR 125, we re riding about 3 hours down to the Bulldog Bash, would my scooter be powerful enough to keep up with him? And cruise comfortably at about 60mph? Long and short. How much of an advantage/disadvantage are gears when it comes to acceleration and speed.
- Is the honda 250r four stroke or two stroke? So i've found out that r stands for race… Most other bikes have either f or t for two stroke or four. So is the honda 250 a four stroke or a two stroke bike? Or is it neither?
- How to drain 2 stroke oil and gas out of a 2 stroke fuel tank? I accidentally threw in low quality 2 stroke oil in my honda cr125 2002 and I've been told It could really harm my bike… All I want to know is how to drain all the gas with the 2 stroke oil out of my bike? Please no hate comments!
- 2 stroke or 4 stroke dirt bikes? I've got a Honda 2 stroke dirt bike and I like it very well. I was just wanting some input and opinions from you. What are your thoughts?
