Hit a parked car without knowing it and now I'm in trouble, what's going to happen?
The insurance agency called me saying that I have to take my car in to get it inspected. The accident happened April 9th and a cop called me a week after.
Here is what happened: I was going to the gym and when I parked my car, I noticed some scratches on my car. I thought it happened at school and someone ELSE did it not me, so I went home freaked out. APPERENTLY I had hit the girl beside me. I had NO IDEA. I got a call from the cops saying they wanna charge me with a hit and run. However, I explained that I didn't know I did anything because I had no clue, and she said okay and told me to explain my story. I did and she never called back. I hadn't heard anything until now, and it was a liability call from the insurance company saying I have to get my car inspected. It was a message on the answering machine and I'm waiting for my dad to get home (I'm 20 and I'm on his insurance). What's going to happen?
Added (1). Oh, and the scratches on my car were just that. Scratches. I had little paint scratches, while the other girl was a really nice new infiniti that apperently got dented. How my tiny honda didn't get dented and hers did, I have no clue.
What is going to happen is your father's insurance company will take care of the damages to the other vehicle. Nothing to worry about. The worst thing that could happen is your father's insurance rate might increase a bit, but nothing worse than that. Not a big deal at all.
They want to inspect the car to see if her story is consistent with the damages reported. Don't worry about things that are out of your control.

- Is it easy to drive a small scooter without ever going on highway in Phoenix? Hi. I'm moving to Phoenix and I will buy a 150cc Honda PCX. In New York, there are places you can't go easily without going on highway or streets where you have to drive fast (like when you cross the bridges). But when I look at the map of Phoenix, it is very square, and you can go everywhere buy driving on small streets and boulevards only.
- Is trouble shooting a helmet lock the same as trouble shooting a key stuck in a door? I have a Honda VFR and the key is stuck in the helmet lock. Its all the way in and turned slightly but won't budge. I just need to know if i should try lube before i call a locksmith.
- 2007 Honda Element with 64k, owner's manual says 110k for valve adjustment. How can one size fit all without knowing how I drive? No issues with the car but some say if the engine is noisy it is time to adjust the valves, others say just the opposite, if the engine is quiet the valves are too tight and need adjusting. Any one want to give some opinions?
- Will my car be ok being parked up for 6 months? I have a Honda Civic EP2 VTEC sport. I have just been banned from driving for 6 months so I have declared it off road and parked it in my garage. I will start it every other day and leave it running for a while but I was just wondering if things will start to seize up etc. Will it be better if I get someone else insured on it, pay for tax etc. So they can maybe drive it around every other week?
