Is 200,000 miles not worth it for a Honda Prelude?

I'm a senior in high school and looking for JDM cars under 5k for my first car. I'm getting more into them more because my friends are crazy about em. I'm looking at preludes because I like the style and they are pretty quick. Most of the ones to I've found on Craigslist have f its worth it or if i should start looking else where170-200k miles. I know this is alot but Honda's are known for being good cars so I wanna know if it's worth it or if I should start looking else where

$3000 is worth it. Any more money than that and you have simply bought a car.

*I* would NOT buy a car with over 130,000 miles on it. Look for a used Honda Civic.

200,000 miles is not a good place to start.

  • Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well
  • 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000? Is this a good deal? I need to buy a new car and today I got an offer on a 2008 Honda Fit with 66,000 miles on it for $5,000. I'm a 19 year old girl and I know nothing about cars D: Are Honda Fits good cars? Should I buy this with so many miles already on it? Also, I like to travel. Will this car be safe to drive long distances?
  • Is 200,000+ miles too many to consider for a used Honda, Toyota, etc? I have been trying to find something like an Accord, Civic, Corolla, or Camry for $3000 or less. Something reliable to get me around town within 30 mile drives. Many in this range have 220,000 or so miles, though I have found 1 or 2 with high 100's. Is the 200k miles a psychological barrier or should I even consider a car with such high mileage?
