Is this a good buy or should I leave it?
Yesterday I went to an impound lot to check out cars. I'm interested in JDM cars like Honda and Acura specifically. I saw a 1991 Acura Integra (DA) and that car caught my eye because I like those cars. Well I went inside the car and it smelled like weed. I saw the mileage and it was 233, xxx miles. I asked the person to pop the hood and the engine and engine bay looked nice. I told him if there were any problems with the car and he said that the engine's 3rd cylinder needs piston rings because it burns oil. He says it starts and drives. I wasn't really skeptical about the mileage and the problem because Honda and Acura are the most reliable cars out there. I also felt that the shifting was very very smooth and without effort. They want 1500 for it. So what do you guys think. Should I buy this car or should I leave it?
Are you serious? That junker has too many miles + it was seized in a drug raid… Oh and the engine is already junk… It's your $$
Leave it. At least they were somewhat honest about what it needs, but you don't fix a single cylinder on a car with over 200,000 miles on it. You rebuild or replace it.
- What to do when you leave a note when you hit a car in the parking lot? So my sister was learning to drive in my car she doesn't have a license and I don't have insurance. She hit the side of a parked Honda where I live. I left a note with my name, number, time, and that she was learning how to drive, I don't have insurance and that I would pay for the damages. I do not have windows where you can see the trunk but i leave it outside of my house since there's no room in the garage and usually the temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius during the summer. Will it go bad or i should be fine?
