What is a good Beginner Motorcycle for a female?

I turn 16 in two days, and my dad suggested I go for my M (motorcycle license) instead of my G (car) first, because it speeds up the process. So instead of spending (let's say, for example) 2 years, it will take me 1 year to acquire my licence. Also, I can speed up the amount of time I spend in Level 2, instead of spending 6 months, I could reduce it by 4 months if I take a Motorcycle Safety Training Program (I read this on the Ontario Motorcycle Driver's Handbook).

Anyways, I'm about 5'1" or 5'2" and weigh about 115 pounds. So, as you can see I'm pretty short. I need a bike that I can rest my feet or at least one foot on the ground, and I know I have to try it out for myself but I can't yet.

I was looking at the Honda CBR125R or the CBR300R. I was trying to find some smaller cc bikes (such as 125, 250, etc.) in Yamaha, but I'm having a bit of trouble on the site as I don't know the site too well.
What size/cc would you suggest I get, and I'd prefer a bike that's under $5000 since I'm paying for half of it (my dad said he'd match what I pay, so if I pay $1000, he'll match it, giving me $2000) and insurance is pretty high for a beginner, especially a teenager. I'm fully aware of any risks I'd be taking riding a motorcycle.

This is the Honda CBR125R:

I apologize for the long question, but I just wanted to clarify everything. All suggestions are appreciated! Thank you.

Added (1). By the way, I live in Canada

I would suggest the Honda cbr125r!
I used this bike while taking the motorcycle training course. And it is a very good learning bike.
I'm 180cm tall, and about 140lbs male, and the bike has more than enough power to carry me.

A cruiser will be a lot cheaper for insurance, and you will be able to put feet on the ground at a stop. How fast do you need go? A 125 will do 50 mph, a 250 will do 70+ mph, "R"ace at the end will add 10-20 mph.

In India female mostly ride on the Activa.

I love the WR250R, its a nice dual sport.

They call it a rebel 250 in the us, low seat height one cylinder

  • Which motorcycle should I get for a beginner? I'm planning on buying a motorcycle because I'm turning 16 soon and I need a vehicle to commute to and from school. Which bike is reliable for a starter? Honda CBR 125CC, Yamaha R125, Ninja Kawasaki 250R or other bikes? I'm also in a budget and looking for a bike around $2,000 and will not go over $2500. I'm also 5'11 and 155 LBS.
  • What's a good beginner motorcycle? So i want to get my motorcycle license soon, i have never driven a motorcycle in my life so what would be a good bike for beginners? I know how to drive a manual car so getting used to the gear changing shouldn't be to difficult. I was thinking about a Honda cbr300r.
  • What is a good beginner motorcycle? I'm 5'7, never drove a manual, so I'm going to take the msf course. I just wanted to ask if you consider a Honda cbr500r as a good beginner bike, because I'm going to be driving in the freeway, thanks in advance
  • Motorcycle for a beginner? I'm about to begin my basic motorcycle riding lessons and honestly have no idea which motorcycle to purchase -- I'm looking to purchase a used cruiser. Honda Rebel or Kawasaki Vulcan maybe? I'm about 6'00" / 200 lbs.
