Would you drive a Honda CBR600rr from Lansing, MI to Seattle?
Added (1). I was planning to make that trip but I'm not sure that it's the smartest thing to do on a sportbike.
Son I'm 54 years old, there's no way in hell I'd do it, Although I'd take it for a few laps around Laguna Seca, Road America or several other tracks I've run over the years, and just for fun, as I have nothing to prove anymore, Nice Goldwing or Electra Glide, that's a different story, do that at the drop of a hat
Drive it to the Honda dealer and trade for Goldwing, 'Ride' Goldwing to Seattle dealer and trade back for the CBR600rr instock whatever condition- then say 'drove' to Seattle. AND do this in summer. Right now? Ride to Uhaul, rent oneway pickup and load bike in back, then 'drive' to Seattle to Uhaul, drop off pickup after unloading bike and gear. 3rd choice- take cycle to Rat Bike/Cruiser shop and get a high windshield, raised handlebars, rear sub frame for saddle bags and decent seat for upright ride, highway pegs to stretch legs- might look at slightly extended front tubes and a 21 inch wheel and tire for better road stability. This variation of 'crotch rocket' shows up frequently at the Rat Bike and Long Run rallies- the starting cycle usually comes from a insurance salvage yard after crashing and has front end damage many times. The front wheels and tires from a dirt bike with blown engine or off the replacement shelf, Franks Forks extended tubes give a slight old school chopper/bobber look and improve highway handling same way that drill used to improve old choppers highway cruise handling- extra couple degrees rake and inch extra trail removes twitchiness with slight extra effort at slow speeds.
You could. Although if you were planning on doing it before April, 2015, it's likely to be a bit nipply.
If you don't you might regret it, wear ear plugs and dress warm
15 miles on a 1000rr was enough for me.
No, I don't like sportbikes so IF would not.
Yes but not in the SNOW. Wait until summer.
I would for sure i've rode my GSXR-750 all over the states.
I wouldn't drive a Honda CBR600rr from here to the corner store but that's just me.
The question is can you make that trip?
No. I wouldn't. I wouldn't be able to move for a week. Way too old for that kind of punishment.
You aren't going to make it right now. Lots of snow in the way!
You put 'smartest' and sport-bike in one sentence.
What planet are you from?!
Just kidding but it is your but and the rest of your body.
- What would you do if a lady around 30-37 told you that you were useless and would never amount to anything? She's a well dressed white lady with a brand new Honda SUV and she has a daughter that looks about 12 that is also well dressed and the girl is being rude and both are being very rude to the guy at the counter at Subway. Would it be wrong to curse out the old witch who tried to start a fight and cursed out the subway worker and you?
