What is a good family car?

A few years ago I had the option of getting a Cadillac or a Honda. I chose the Honda because it was the perfect size. But now, my Honda is getting really old and I want to buy a nicer car. Unfortunately I can't afford a Cadi like I used to be able to, so can anyone help me find nice family cars that estimate to around 40k? That's pretty much my limit and I know there's not a lot of nice, reputable cars that low of a price but it'd really help if you helped. - No minivans please.

Carmax.com also almost every Cadillac has trade- ins that must pass a inspection, for recertification to resold from the Cadillac dealership. You might be surprised what a recertified Cadillac has to offer.

Honda odyssey

Nissan Altima

Toyota Avalon, Buick LaCrosse, Chevy Impala, VW Passat.

There are many choices.

Cadillac ATS, BMW 3 series, Lexus, Mercedes 300, Audi 4, Buick La Crosse, Infinity etc etc too many to choose from. Or save some money and buy an new Ford, Chevrolet, Toyota, Honda or Nissan.

  • Small family car for learning to drive? Hi, I was wanting some help to do with what car to buy. The basic rundown is that I'm wanting a car a 17 year old can learn to drive in, so there's the obvious of low insurance, safety and reliability etc. It needs five seats as it will also be used as a general family car and can be up to about £6000. I have been looking around and so far am leaning towards the Honda Jazz, but any advice on the subject would be very much appreciated.
  • Which SUV would you recommend for a family of 4? This is for a family of 4 with 2 children ages 1 & 3. 1. Nissan Pathfinder 2. Honda Pilot 3. Nissan Murano 4. Toyota Highlander 5. Honda CR-V 6. Hyundai Santa Fe 7. Mazda CX-9 Which would you highly recommend and why?
  • Are me and my family paying too much for auto insurance? Our total every 6 months is $2,055. I'm 20 years old and drive a 2015 Silverado LTZ V8 crew cab truck and my mom drives a honda pilot 2015. We're paying about $343 a month on car insurance is that too high for a 20 year old and a 46 year old?
  • Which three-row family vehicle should we get? - 1 A new 2018 Honda Odyssey or, within the same budget, a used 2017 Lincoln Navigator? The Odyssey would be a new body style but the Navigator would be the "old" body style as the new one just came out in 2018. But would it still be cooler than the Odyssey? Or does the practicality of the Odyssey outweigh the better looks/image of an SUV? We have young kids and do lots of hauling people around.
