Which is the better hybrid?
2013 honda insight or 2013 toyota prius? Which gets better mpg? Which is faster? Which one looks better? Which one is better?
Honda has had terrible problems with their IMA hybrid system; Toyota's SHS hybrid system has been almost completely trouble-free. There's a recall with a simple reprogramming fix for the problem with the inverter that popped up a few years ago.
Honda's IMA problems surfaced several years ago, with a lot of the Honda Civic Hybrid owners complaining of short battery life. It took Honda a few years to come up with any response, and when they did it took the form of reprogramming to reduce battery usage. Unfortunately, that wiped out most of the hybrid advantage and led to a class action suit by owners who had what was little more than a slightly more efficient and considerably more expensive and complicated version of the standard Honda Civic.
In contrast, my wife and I have had three Prius cars over the year. Her current one is a 2010, which has needed only a 12V battery, tires, and wiper blades in its 100K mile life so far. Mine is a 2002 with 189K miles that has needed the same things. They are by far the most reliable cars we have ever had.
The reviews of the 2013 toyota prius seem more favourable
Look at it THIS way. The Prius has been in production for almost 20 years, and is still considered the "standard of the industry" as far as hybrids go.
The TOP pick according to Consumer Reports magazine.
My wife owns one, and we love the car. We drove from Orange County Ca to St. George Utah on 20 dollars worth of gas.
As Cal Worthington used to say, "How ya gonna beat that?"
- Which looks better: a Kawasaki Ninja 250r or a Honda CBR250R? I'm debating these two bikes and they are both pretty similar. Now I'm just deciding which looks better? Here is a couple of pictures of them side by side. P.S don't just by color. Just plain looks.
- Which is better for a beginner: a Kawasaki ninja 250r or a Honda CBR250R? I'm a beginner and I'm thinking about getting a bike. Please don't tell me to get a 600 or 1000 or whatever. I don't need those. I can do well with a 250. I just want to know what is better in your guys' opinion. Please explain why.
- Roughly how much could I get from selling my hybrid car with a dead hybrid battery? I have a 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid with about 175k miles. I'm the second owner and there's nothing else wrong with it besides the dead hybrid battery. The battery is very expensive to replace and it's honestly just more of a financially smart decision to sell it rather than spending about 2,000 on a new battery. I just want to know what is a decent price to let it go for considering the hybrid battery is dead ultimately making it useless until replaced.
- How to drive a honda civic hybrid car with out hybrid battery? Bought a car about 4 months ago and the battery is now dead. I check to make sure its not the normal battery and Auto Zone said it was fine. I'm sure its the hybrid battery but i don't have the money to pay 1,000 or more for a battery on a car i just spent money on. Is there a way you can drive this car without the hybrid battery? Or dose anyone know a place to get these batteries cheaper?
