It calls the Main relay. But you'll need to check for the true cause of the stalling problem. When it stalls are you losing spark or fuel pressure? What's the model? What's the trim? (i.e. EX, DX etc) 4 or 6 cylinders?
If you have no spark check the coil and the igniter, cap rotor, plugs and wires. If you have no fuel pressure check the main relay. If you have neither check the ignition switch.
No spark: See if the check engine light comes on for two seconds and goes off when the problem occur. If the light comes on and stays on, possibly a defective main relay.
Use a timing light and see if the engine is loosing spark when the problem occurs.
If loosing spark, check for B+ to the ignition coil on the Black/Yellow wire and check for a pulse to ground on the coil negative (-) on the Black/White wire.
Check for B+ to the Igniter inside of the distributor on the Black/Yellow wire. Check the igniter ground through its mounting and make sure the distributor has good ground.
Look for 9-11 volts on the ignition signal Yellow/Green wire in the 8 cavity distributor connector and look for a 0-10 vlts square wave signal while cranking at this Yellow/Green wire.
If no scope available, you can use a DVOM (Digital Volt Ohm Meter) in place and look for the number is switching between 9 then 11 volts.
If you loose ignition, do not buy a reman distributor. Go with OEM, trust me most of IATN members has his/her share of the story.
If not loosing ignition then check the fuel pressure and verify that the vehicle is not loosing power to the fuel pump from the main relay.

Hope it help and E mail me if you need additional help.
The main relay is often a problem but rarely causes the engine to die once running, it is more of a no-start/hard-start thing.
Depending on the model, your 1999 probably was subject to the big ignition switch recall for exactly that problem. If the warning lights don't come on when it dies, you know for sure it is the ignition switch. A call to your Honda dealer will tell you if your VIN was subject to the recall and if it has been done.
- 03 Honda Pilot, clicking sound in steering column? When I press the brake, while in park, I hear a click in the steering column. It also clicks when I take my foot off the brake after putting in park and the vehicle does the normal roll back or forward depending on incline. Should I be concerned? It doesn't happen any other time.
- Why does my car engine rev up and down? It revs up and down all the way up to 3x rpm and down? Also when i step on the gas pedal it revs up all the way to the top 8x rpm and stays right there even when i let go of the gas pedal. Please anyone who can tell me why this happens? This is a 1995 honda civic by the way
- Power steering fluid leaking from the base of the steering column? I have a 2002 Honda Civic and I noticed that there's power steering fluid leaking at the base of the steering column. I can't find anything about it online and don't want to take it to a mechanic if its something that I can figure out. Could this be the rack and pinion? Or is it just something simple? Anybody dealt with this issue before?
- My 2000 Honda Civic EX shuts off when driving it, sometimes it'll start back up but sometimes it won't I got my tail pipe and muffler replaced. I also got the catalytic converter and MAP sensor replaced in my car as well. My dad believes it could be the fuel filter, but we have no clue what it really is.
