2008 Honda fuel gauge never gets full?

Each time I fill my car (just bought it 4 weeks ago) the gauge has never gone exactly to full. Why's this happening? 2008 Honda fuel gauge never gets full

The car is 10 years old. Consider it good. Could just be a bad indicator. Either that or you are looking at a $500 or more repair. Is it worth fixing? No.

I have a 2007car bought new that did the same thing. After several years it all of a sudden went to the full mark but don't ask me how or why.

THe gauge, the sending unit (in the tank) or the wiring that connects them. Take your pick.

In addition to the possibility that a sending unit or the electronic gauge is faulty on this 11 year-old car, your gas station nozzle's auto shutoff may be occurring prematurely (do you use the same station/pump every time?).

Not all cars do, don't worry about it.

That's pretty close. Just don't keep clicking on the fuel nozzle to get it fuller because that will soak up your charcoal storage unit. Not cheap to replace.

You may have a bad fuel gauge sending unit in the gas tank furl pump assembly.
Don't overfill the gas tank or you'll end up flooding the charcoal canister with gasoline.

HI within the world of motoring not many ever show a fuel tank as full. Some show over full even when half empty. So you never know how much you have. It is only ever a rough guide. In the world of millions of cars if 1% show a full tank when Full it is exceptional.
