600 watt five channel amp overheating/shutting off?
I have a 2003 Honda Goldwing 1800cc. I recently had a five channel amplifier installed along with a 10" woofer for base. The sound is awesome and very clear but the amp shuts off after only 20 minutes or so. I had everything installed by a stereo shop and they also did the custom work needed for the base box. The two are in separate locations and neither water or dirt are the culprits. The amp is located in one of the side boxes. The base box is in the top box and completely separate from vibration or heat.

Because, at full power your amplifier is trying to pull 50 amps from your electrical system. You don't have anywhere near 50 amps of spare power. Watts are volts x amps. So watts / volts gives you current. 50 amps is a lot.

If the unit is underpowered it will run hot.
Did you put in a more powerful stator to run all that electronic equipment?

I have a 97 Honda Cbr 600 F3 that has been in the shop for 8 months every time I get it back the bike shuts off after 30 miles of riding it, it does this as soon as I pull in the clutch coming to a stop. That is until I lost compression in the motor and all but one cylinder stopped firing. Does anyone have any ideas as to what happened?

I have a 2000 Honda Civic Ex… Recently I was driving and in the middle of driving, my car shuts off, all my gauges go down and took a while to crank back up. My battery light turned on, so I replaced the battery, thought maybe the battery was old and needed changing, thought maybe that was it. Well it didn't help, it still will shut off and the battery light is still on. Could it be the altinator? Suggestions are much appreciated.
