07 Honda Accord in Limp Mode?
So my car doesn't accelerate as normal anymore and jumps/hiccups around 15 mph and then able to make it to 40mph but won't past the speed. It idle fine at a stand still but won't accelerate anymore
Have the exhaust back pressure tested.
Have the timing belt checked to see if it jumped time.
All motors made by Honda have a common problem with the valves getting tight and the valves need adjusting every 60,000 miles.
My 04 and 07 Accords would do that if the computer was tripped by a bad sensor. If memory serves, one time it was the throttle position sensor. It was an inexpensive fix and the computer was reset, problem solved. A scan tool can likely find what to check.

- Prius: Can someone explain the power usage meter & specific difference between power mode and Eco mode? My brother just got me a Prius to replace my old beater Honda and I'm having difficulty understanding the power usage meter (meter on dash with "Charge-Eco-Power") and the difference in the Eco & Power modes. I do understand the charge bit on the meter.
- My 2013 Honda Pilots VTM-4(4WD mode) and Check engine light are on? A few miles latter I restarted the engine again, a few times and only the Check engine light was on. After driving a mile or so I turned off the car and started a couple of minutes later but this time no lights were on. A few miles before those two light went on, it felt like the car kind of jolted a little but I'm not too sure if it was an engine misfire or a pothole.
- Would a 4 Cylinder Car in Sport Mode be able to accelerate faster than a V6 car in ECO mode? Take the Honda CRV Turbo at 190 horse power 4 cylinder in Sport Mode vs the Oddysey with 285 Horsepower on ECO with a V6.
- Does Sport Mode turn your car into a V8? We have a 2018 CRV Touring Turbo and the guy at Honda said when you press Sport Mode your car will become a V8 -like car. Is that true?
