1991 Honda Accord Dash Gauges Are Not Working?
Okay, I don't know much about cars so bear with me. The gauges were working fine, I had my uncle, (a mechanic) work on the left billet indication light, and then the gauges stopped working. The dashboard is currently not it it's place. The speedometer, the fuel gauge, the hot/cold gauge, and the one that counts up by ones are all not working. From what I've researched, something is apparently loose, but I'm not sure what. Again, I don't know anything about cars except how to change a tire so, please make it simple. (If possible)
Do you have any idea what your uncle has done to fix the left side billet? Give the car back to him either he left something loose like a connector or he has messed up the circuit board or shorting out something and a fuse has blown. Tel him to back track his works.
The first thing you need to do is check the fuses in the fuse block! By your uncle working around the dash maybe the fuse blown!

- How to fix a 1991 Honda civic DX hatchback not running found a lose speedometer cable? My only car, a 1991 Honda civic DX hatchback stopped getting gears. It turns on perfectly, oil is perfect no specs, I found a lose cord, a speedometer cable. Is this why it doesn't get any gears? There's a pin to attach it back in but it blows off when I start it. What can I do? I really don't want to junk it.

Ever since, every time I have started the car the gauge needles shake and the odometer scrambles before adjusting to their appropriate places (or mileage). Also, the Trips on the odometer reset each time also. Is this a problem? It never happened before I got the new battery.
