2000 Honda Accord Fuel Pump Issues?
2000 Honda Accord Fuel Pump Issues?
Added (1). I have a 2000 Honda Accord v6. I parked my car into the parking lot today, went to the store, and when I started up my car the engine died 2 seconds after. I tried a few more times and it did the same. It starts normally, but dies in seconds. I tried again and gave it some gas this time to keep it running, which worked. It eventually idled fine and I drove it through stop lights and stop signs and it ran perfectly fine. Just the starting of the engine was difficult. Fuel pump/filter perhaps?
Sounds more like a battery problem. Check with your local dealer. Otherwise Autozone can check it for free for you. Hope this helps!
- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
- Does the fuel pump on a 1994 Honda Shados stay going, or is it only to prime the carbs when starting? My Honda Blackbird is also carbureted with no fuel pump, therefore I don't see why it'd be necessary for a classic style V-twin. Is it on all the time while the engine is running, or is it just used in tandem with the starter?
- How many amps does a fuel pump for a 95 honda civic use? I blew 2 fuel pumps already because I wired them to the a hard line in the battery. Then I installed an in line fuse, but it was a 20 amp so the fuel pump still blew. My guy said a fuel pump uses about 6 amps so I need a 7.5 amp fuse. I'm wondering if I could use a 5 amp fuse because it's a very small engine and fuel pump. Does anyone know what the stock amp draw should be?
- 90 honda civic fuel pump? Where is the fuel pump located in my 90 honda civic? If it is in the tank, do i have to drop the tank to change the pump? Any help is appreciated.
