90 honda civic fuel pump?
Where is the fuel pump located in my 90 honda civic? If it is in the tank, do i have to drop the tank to change the pump? Any help is appreciated.
What's the trim level of your Civic? Depends on the trim level, the year and carburetor or fuel injection.
It has been too long so I can't recall right away. But out of thin air: I've remembered if it's a mechanical pump: The fuel pump is located on the passengers side of the engine towards the front of the car.
If it's an electric pump: The fuel pump is located under the left rear of the vehicle, it is bolted to the chassis and is covered by a 2-piece cover.

- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
- How to fix a problem with a 1995 Honda del sol, where the fuel pump only works sometimes? The fuel pump has been replaced but only gets power sometimes. It's not the regulator and not the fuse. They have power going to the fuse but not to the fuel pump.
- Does the fuel pump on a 1994 Honda Shados stay going, or is it only to prime the carbs when starting? My Honda Blackbird is also carbureted with no fuel pump, therefore I don't see why it'd be necessary for a classic style V-twin. Is it on all the time while the engine is running, or is it just used in tandem with the starter?
- How many amps does a fuel pump for a 95 honda civic use? I blew 2 fuel pumps already because I wired them to the a hard line in the battery. Then I installed an in line fuse, but it was a 20 amp so the fuel pump still blew. My guy said a fuel pump uses about 6 amps so I need a 7.5 amp fuse. I'm wondering if I could use a 5 amp fuse because it's a very small engine and fuel pump. Does anyone know what the stock amp draw should be?
