2002 Accord with dashboard lights flickering, cruise control stopped working and radio cutting out?

I have a 2002 Honda Accord and the dashboard lights have started flickering, the radio is cutting in and out and the cruise control has stopped working. I'm getting the alternator tested after work, but suspect it isn't the problem as I had a new one installed a year and half ago along with a new battery. The problem seems to be worse when the AC is running, but happens regardless. The gauges don't seem to be affected.

I would verify the voltage regulator. This is probably within your alternator. You may also have a small device called an "electric load detector" (ELD) that might be acting up. It you have one, it is probably buried within your under-hood fuse box and is hard, but possible to get to. I hope it is something relatively simple, because if you have defective wiring, it is very hard to resolve.

That isn't a symptom of a bad alternator, But I would have it checked anyway. It sounds more like a GROUND that is corroded or loose. Japs use Black wires for ground. You can find a ground schematic online. If any are under the Battery Tray… They are the most likely.
