2003 honda accord Transmission?
I have a 2003 honda accord lx. Transmission knocks pretty hard when shifting into drive First thing in the morning or after my car has sat for awhile, 8 or more hours. It only happens once. If I put it back into park then shift it back to drive it won't happen again. I'll be good for the rest of the day as long as my car isn't sitting for long time, 8 hours or so.
May need a fluid change. Drain and refill until fluid runs pink. Do not flush.
Think its the engine not the transmission. If transmission it will happen all the time hot or cold. Check engine oil if low refill and find the problem if full think the oil pump giving you the problem or engine on the way out. You'll have to leave it at the shop over night for them to get the noise to happen to give you accurate diagnosis
Go to the dealer and see if there's a recall on this issue. If not then best to get a full transmission service from the dealer or shop that knows hondas. Only use OEM spec fluid.
- Transmission going out on friend's 2004 Impala. Is it possible to install a manual transmission taken from a 1992 Honda Civic in this car? Not worth replacing trans on a car this old, but the engine and everything else are still perfect. My friend was able to get a free manual trans from a 1992 Honda Civic. But i'm not sure whether or not you can use a trans from a different vehicle
- 2003 pagsta 50cc transmission? I'm buying a 50cc pagsta and I'm worried about repairs. The engine is a common one that I can easily replace or repair but it has a strange non CVT 2speed automatic trans with a chain final drive I'm not sure I can find elsewhere. Are there any other chain drive 50cc trans for a Honda engine I could replace it with should it die on me?
- Will 2003 honda accord sedan fender fit a 2003 honda accord coupe? I have a 2003 accord coupe i just want to know if a fender fo 2003 accord sedan will fit the car since they look just the same i can't see a difference from outside
- Can you put a 7 speed manual transmission in a car that comes stock with a 4 or 5 speed manual transmission? I'm just curious to know if this is possible or if anyone has tried it. I wany to know what is possible to get the most out of a car. I'm probably going to be getting an acura(no hondas) and doing the necessary upgrades, turbo and all that. If anyone has any experience let me know
