93 Honda Accord LX break lights won't go off?

Break lights won't go off even when the car is totally off, what could be wrong? Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated…

Take a look at the metal arm the brake pedal is mounted on. About 2/3 of the way up you will see places the two switches press on the arm from the dashboard side. One of those (I forget which) is the switch for the brake lights and I bet the switch is "pressing on" a hole in the arm. Now search the floor mat for a mushroom shaped button. If you find it, put it in the hole so the bump sticks out on the side facing the rear of the car so the switch presses on the bump. If you don't find it, tape a few pennies on the arm so the switch presses on the short stack of pennies instead of falling in the hole.

What's the complication? Replace the brake light switch.

As stated your pedal pad has broken off.Look for pieces of blue crayon on the floor.Look at the link with a picture the Honda part needed is 46505-SA5-000.Subsitute the pad from the gas pedal because it is not critical just a rubber sound bumper. In the picture you need #25 and can subsitute #31 that is better than the penny solution. The clutch pedal has two pads also examine them to understand how they work. Any Honda from this era needs a new pad before it kills the battery.Search the parking lots of auto part stores for tuner Hondas of the counter workers.Bring them the pad and they will replace it for a cup of instant ramen noodles.
