Buying my First Used Car tips anyone?
When buying a car as a new driver, I'm well aware that it's in my best interest to buy a used car but I do not know much about cars. I was looking at Honda Accord 1995 to 1999 but what I'm confused about is the mileage what the ideal mileage for a used car to have to be a good purchased, an explain to me what the mileage has to do with the car performance?

Depends where you buy it. All i can say is HAGGLE HAGGLE HAGGLE. Know your budget. Hondas and Toyotas generally last pretty long, that's why you see a lot of the old ones in the streets. The average mileage per year for a car is around 12k. So say the car was from 2011 the mileage should be around 30-40k used. So if you're looking for a car from 1995 the average mileage would be around 216k for a car that old. With high mileage the car might not have much of a run left in it, and might not perform as smooth as a car with less miles. From what I've seen most cars are LUCKY to make it to 300k. If i were you i'd find a car from at least 2002 and beyond unless your budget is tight.
