Can a 2002 Chevy Cavalier Engine be swapped with 2003 Honda Accord Engine?

Can a 2002 Chevy Cavalier Engine be swapped with 2003 Honda Accord Engine?

Can it? Yes. Can it be done easily or economically? No

Not at all practical.

Not without spending a WHOLE LOT of money.

Neither way is just a "drop in". Anything is possible with time, $.

Are you putting the Honda in the Cavalier OR the Cav, Engine in the Honda? Either way, probably easier to swap motor and transaxle, together. Hardly worth it in my opinion.

The Iron Duke 4 is a far better motor. The Al head Cavalier/Sunfire OHV prone to overheat, erosion of cooling passages into combustion chambers, and main bearings. They often wear out and gall up crank on ONE overheat, I Know, I'm fixing one for the Second Time. (NOT mine, my renters. I Hate that Sunfire.)

Get a 2002 Grand Am DOHC four engine w/ 4 speed transaxle. It will drop right into the Chevy--which is exactly like a Pontiac "Sunfire".
