Can I change the horn in a car to a better sounding one that I like (better explained in description)?
Hi. I'm probably going to get a Used 2006 Honda Accord VP (or LX). This probably sounds incredibly dumb, but usually a big turn-off on a car for me is the sound of the horn. I don't know what the horn on this car sounds like, so if I get it and end up not liking the horn sound, can I just have it changed to any horn sound I want and like, or are there only certain ones I can get?
If you need any other info I'll add more details. Please answer seriously and with info and stuff.
Thanks!
Added (1). So, pretty much in a nutshell, I just want to know if switching out the current horn and replacing it with any other horn can be done. No truck/train prank horns.
Yes, horns are very simple to replace, they generally have one wire and they are grounded right to the metal frame, just unplug it and switch it out, you can get one from a junkyard from any car you like the sound of, or buy an aftermarket one, it's no big deal.
Get a truck horn or a Beemer horn from a junk yard or on eBay.
Find the horn you want. Dismount offensive horn, remount favored, change wires. Buy at auto parts house, JC Whitney or a junk yard.
- If one or two ISP's ban a site and raise prices, can a new one rise up and compete? Why? Why not? What about Honda/Toyota? Or ' MCI & Sprint muscling AT&T aside? Anyone remember Nucor Steel? Each of those took advantage of very different situations, each with seemingly impossible odds. Thing is, they were all LEGALLY allowed to compete. How about here?
- Where to purchase a horn ground ring? I got a 93 Honda civic dx sedan. It was in a minor accident where the air bag deployed & the steering wheel has been recently changed. Unfortunately the horn doesn't work. The mechanic who changed the wheel says I need to purchase a ground horn ring in order for the horn to work with the new steering wheel. I'd like to know if that is the correct name of part & if so where can I purchase one because I've searched eBay Amazon and the web itself and came up with nothing
- Does the 2004 Honda Civic Lx have good gas mileage? (Read description)? It has 27 MPG City, and 34 MPG highway. I found a used one for a good price but would like to know if it's worth the buy. It's not and SUV or crossover. It's a small regular compact car, thanks.
