Did Honda accords have a recall for transmission?
I have a 1998 Honda accord Lx and my transmission recently just died. What i wanted to know is did honda have a recall on accords my year, because my friend told me they did but i'm not sure what i should do. This car is used by the way.

Not a recall, but a warranty extension. The extension has long since expired though; details in the source. Transmission trouble is the death knell for your 19 year old Accord. 1998 was the first year of the Great Honda Automatic Transmission Debacle.
Yes there was a fault with the transmission on that year.
My wife has one. The transmission was replaced 7 years ago and its been okay ever since. The car is automatic it cost £800 +vat
The Honda accord for 1998 - 2002 has extreme transmission problems but they only bothered to recall transmissions from the 2000 - 2002. The Honda accord from 1997 and below are bulletproof but for some reasons from 1998 and above Honda quality has downshifted bigtime.
Toyota are the way to go if you want a reliable car, Hondas are really overrated. I have Toyota RAV4 2001 and has never gave me problems since owning it.

I'm going to be paying $33/day for (1 to 2 weeks) for a loaner car from my honda dealership while its away in the shop. Is there any flexibility in picking what car I want or do they automatically assign me a car. - Why do the newer Honda Accords and Civic Touring models have LED strip light as headlights? I get it yes they have LED daytime running lights my Rogue has that. But how come their headlights instead of it being one bulb that shines, its like a whole line of bulbs? and how come Honda only does that? My friend has LED headlights on his charger and it is just one bulb.
- Why are honda accords so expensive? They are so plain looking and dull? I'm just surprised. I thought they were cheaper. For 30 grand I could get something so much nicer.
