Hydraulic motor mount vs solid motor mount?
2003 honda accord.
what's the difference?
If it has an automatic transmission the rear engine mount is hydraulic. When idling in gear the mount shifts under vacuum control to soften and reduce vibration, and when taken out of gear or when taken above an idle it becomes stiffer for better control of engine rock. All the other mounts are "solid" (not controlled). The rear mount in the manual transmission Accord is solid - you don't want to use that on an automatic. The vibration is very noticeable in gear, especially with the A/C on.
- Will advance auto bleed my hydraulic clutch and refill it? I have a 1984 Honda magna and I was told there's air in the hydraulic line and I don't know how to bleed them I'm just wondering if advance auto can bleed and refill my line. P.s I'm leaving for a road trip in 8 hrs and really need it done
- Hydraulic motorcycle clutch problems? I recently bought an 82 honda magna v45. The clutch level has no pressure, therefore won't engage. I tried bleeding it for almost an hour but bubbles just keep coming. Went through a whole bottle of fluid and can't build any pressure. Any idea what's wrong? Any advice will be appreciated
- How to mount a centre stand on a 99 honda transalp? I'm trying to mount a centre stand on a honda transalp from 1999. Problem is that I can't find out where I should mount the springs. Where should the springs be hooked on to the frame? The bike is imported from germany, so I'm asssuming it's a EU model.
- Does a top mount intercooler have to be on top? I've got a 13b Turbo II Intercooler from an rx7 and I was wondering if it could be side mounted on a honda. I figure I'd just have to custom fit it somewhere but, I wanted some input if it would work like that. It should considering it's just a basically a cooler.
