I have a 2000 Honda Accord LX 2.3. I got my transmission replaced and I still have problems?

You have got to be kidding me! I Finally got my car back and got the transmission replaced and the car is STILL running eh. The mechanic told me the car shifts perfectly… Which it does, but he has to check the two sensors from the old transmission and put it into my used transmission that I have

There are two issues I have with the used transmission:
1) When you reverse the car and then put it in "D" it's a 1 second delay with a small bump before you go
2) When you stop the car and the car is at 0 mph you hear two thumps

What is the issue?
UNREAL. Honda, YOU ARE GARBAGE AND HAD AWFUL VEHICLES. HOW PEOPLE STILL BUY YOUR ACCORD'S IS ASTOUNDING. TERRIBLE vehicles

Well the car is 14 years old. Honda last forever only if you take good car of them. In the past my coworker had a honda civic that was 2 years old and the transmission went out and she just had so many problems with it. Do you know how much it will cost you to get this particular problem fix. If you keep adding money to this car at the end you could have purchase a used or a brand new car.

Sadly, the 2000 Accord was part of the Great Honda Automatic Transmission Debacle of 1998-2004. Maintenance even at the Honda schedule was not enough to keep those transmissions working, but rumors said that replacing the fluid twice as often helped. That is water under the bridge now.

I understand your frustration. Honda had a full decade of serious design problems they were very slow to respond to. Starting with the transmission debacle, it was followed by porous engine blocks in the Civic, then rapidly wearing brakes (as little as 5000 between rear brake replacement!) Honda has been doing pretty well since 2009 but they are still on my "don't buy new" list until at least a decade has passed. For your transmission, I suspect you will have to live with the annoyances. But think how much you will appreciate your next car!

First of all, Honda's reputation for reliable cars is one of the best in the world. The problem you have is unique to your situation. There's something wrong somewhere, and a good transmission expert should be able to find the problem immediately. It almost sounds like the transmission is low on fluid, or the filters are clogged.
