Have an OBD2 code check done. Could be worn out spark plugs. OBD2 will tell which plug is misfiring. If one is bad, change them all. Use platinum tip plugs. That's not the only thing it could be, but the OBD2 code reader is pretty good about telling on a problem.
Is there any light lit up on the dash cluster? Be best if you're living in the USA, bring the car to any Advance auto part or Auto Zone part stores and let them use their "Code reader" to see if the car has any. Come back and update the information in this question. What's the code?
It could be the fault in the ignition system (Like spark plugs, ignition coils etc), the TB (Throttle Body) plate is dirty, the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) is out of range, or the transmission (I've assumed it's A/T).
Check the ATF level, get the code read out and update the information, then we'll talk. What's the trim level? (EX, LX etc). What kind of transmission? (A/T or M/T). When was the last time the vehicle has any kind of major service? Any code? At what RPM (Engine speed) or at what gear you feel the car is skipping?
Update those information and I'll answer. HTH

- My 2000 Honda Civic EX shuts off when driving it, sometimes it'll start back up but sometimes it won't I got my tail pipe and muffler replaced. - I have a 2000 Honda Civic with 140,000 miles on it. Do you think the timing belt has been changed? I read somewhere that they are supposed to be changed at 105,000 miles, or seven years. My car has a lot more miles than that, and twice the age. Do you think the belt has been changed before? Or is it possible it's the original belt? Would the original have lasted this long?
