I'm looking to do a tune up on my 1991 Honda Accord 2.2L MFI 4cyl F22A1 FWD 4 door sedan

I just had my timing belt completely done, including the water pump. And, now, I'm looking to do a tune up on my 1991 Honda Accord 2.2L MFI 4cyl F22A1 FWD 4 door sedan. I know that Denso and NGK are the best brands to use, as per my Owner's Manual. However, at the time they only made and used the NGK (2262) ZFR5F-11 V-Power Spark Plug Copper and (ZFR6F-11) NGK 4291-4PK ZFR6F-11 V-Power Spark Plug. Which ones are better? NGK GP Platinum / Spark Plug; NGK V Power Copper / Spark Plug; NGK Laser Dbl Plat / Spark Plug;NGK Iridium Ix Spark Plug (ZFR5FIX-11). Also, are there any good wires that you would suggest me buying to use along with the spark plugs?

That vintage Accord didn't really care about spark plugs, but use OEM rotor, cap, and wires. There's a lot of energy in Honda ignitions and the plugs are about the only part that you have leeway on. My son used an aftermarket cap and rotor on his 1994 Integra and the rotor broke in barely a month, then the cap tracked. He replaced the wires with OEM when he replaced the aftermarket cap.

You have an unusual idea of a tune up… By all means use the latest 3 pronged plugs… But oem leads… But you won't notice the difference… Unless your a genius who can recognise a .5% increase in performance

  • Can i get a Door Kit for a 2 door car for my 4 door? I wanna get a lambo door kit for my 2013 honda civic but i have a four door and the one they have is for a two door… So would getting the kit and just using it on the front two doors work?
