My car keeps shutting off when I drive it (only on the highway) not when I'm going like 20 - 40 mph?
It's a 95 Honda accord I bought it with a new tranny, recently replaced water pump, timing belt, just fixed the breaks. What could it be?
Wow your ignition switch physically turns off you have heard of cars dying while driving but not the key switch turning the car off. It could be a problem such as a bad fuel pump or fuel filters. Or it could be electrical. I would get a shop to check it out.
Throttle Position Sensor, go out and with the engine running use the throttle under hood and go slowly idle up and see if the motor dogs down at a certain spot if it does and then after that spot it goes fine from there, then suspect the TPS
- My car alarm won't stop going off in my honda odessey 2004, i do not have a key fob I disconnected the battery cable and that seems to be only solution. But when i reconnect the cable, the alarm still goes off when i turn the car back on. Is there anything else i can do? Would i be able to buy and reprogram a key fob for it to turn off? Please help i don't what else to do, any suggestions would be helpful.

In New York, there are places you can't go easily without going on highway or streets where you have to drive fast (like when you cross the bridges). But when I look at the map of Phoenix, it is very square, and you can go everywhere buy driving on small streets and boulevards only.

I have a 2000 Honda Civic Ex… Recently I was driving and in the middle of driving, my car shuts off, all my gauges go down and took a while to crank back up. My battery light turned on, so I replaced the battery, thought maybe the battery was old and needed changing, thought maybe that was it. Well it didn't help, it still will shut off and the battery light is still on. Could it be the altinator? Suggestions are much appreciated.

I then start it again and it's fine, every time it will start on the 2nd time, but it doesn't always shut off on the first time. Does anyone know why it does this?
