What are we talking 800 miles? How many times in 800 miles do you normally break down? Tell your mechanic you are going on a trip and ask if he sees any issues.
Yes
It should be fine. A few things you need to do. Have a mechanic look at the car as a general check up.
Check the belt/s if old/cracked then replace them.
If over 1 year old: replace the air filter, do a coolant drain, flush with distilled water, run heater on high until hot, let cool, repeat 1 more time if coolant change is way past due, then fill with spec coolant, probably a gallon will make it a 50/50 mix. The reason I say this is the quick change oil places simply drain the coolant, which only gets out about half the coolant then top it off. So you end with with two types of coolant in there, which is bad, and 50% of the coolant is dirty, so is weaker, and has all the contaminates in it.
Get an oil change and filter. Make sure tires have correct pressure. Get rotated if needed.
Check the spare tire - fill with air and check in few days to make sure it hold air. Check you have jack and tire iron.
With an assistant check all lights are functioning. Check license plate bulbs.
You will be fine, a lot of cars on the road have more miles than that.
- Would you purchase a 2004 Honda pilot for $6,000.000 that has 216,000 miles on it? I'm just browsing online looking at cars for sale and a lot of them have 200k or more miles on them and they want $4,000 or more. Why do people sale their cars for such a high price with a lot of miles on them? Its not just Hondas its all types of cars private and dealers as well
- Can a or multiple 2008 Honda CBR600RR super sport motorcycle operate on the Belt Parkway, which is in New York State? Can a 2? 008 Honda CBR600RR super sport motorcycle be operated on the forks and enter into the Belt Parkway?
- Accidentally drove in 2nd gear on highway with automatic. Did I cause any damage to my car? I didn't get much sleep so this morning I was little out of it. On my 15 minute commute to work I accidentally put my automatic car in 2nd gear instead of drive. I drove on the highway for 5 minutes going 60. I didn't notice until I got to work and realized that's why my car felt a little different while driving. It's a 2002 Honda crv. Could I have caused any long term damage?
- What should i do if a Maintenance Required light comes on on my new honda civic with 10,000 miles? I called honda service and they said the required service with a 10,000 miles would about $200.00 and i think i'm getting ripped off.
