Transmission whining at 4th and 5th gear?
I have a 2012 honda accord 49500 miles. I bought it brand new but when it reached to 49500. The transmision automatic act weird. When i drive on freeway. At 4th and 5 th gear start humming a lot. And i checked transmision fluid when engine off and hot. It is in the middle between cold and hot. Is it normal the tranny whine at 4th and 5th gear. It whinning around 55-60 mph after that the noise go away
Hi so has it been serviced and maintained by a Honda dealer as it needed to be. The warranty would still be valid so they would have changed the gearbox or at least cured the issue.
- My 1999 manual honda prelude does not shift into 5th gear or reverse smoothly? My gears are smooth from 1-4 but then takes a lot of effort to go to 5th or reverse. Also when you get out of 5th or reverse it doesn't go straight into neutral like a normal manual car. They still work but it is very annoying that i have to push it into the gears and pull them out. What could the issue be? Transmission? Shift box? I plan on changing to a short throw shifter in the future.
- 5th & 6th gear issues, motorcycle? I have a 1984 Honda Magna 750. I noticed a month or two ago that 6th gear wasn't engaging. Then this weekend I noticed that 5th seemed to not be fully engaging. Wondering if anyone has an idea of what is wrong. Or can point me in the right direction.
- Is the 1985 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft compatible with the 86-2001 Honda CR 500 water pump gear shaft? I have a 1985 CR 500 and the water pump gear shaft broke. It has been discontinued from Honda, and no one else has it. It is a metal gear. The one's for the 1986-2001 CR 500 are plastic. If I have to use plastic, I will. However, I prefer not to. If anyone knows where I can get the OEM 1985 Honda CR 500 gear shaft, I would forever be grateful.
- Does a 5th Gen honda prelude h22 head fit a 4th Gen prelude? I have a 1996 honda prelude si (4th gen) with a h23 engine and I want to swap my head to a h22 and I couldn't find any 4th generation being part out, but I did find a 1997 honda prelude (5th gen) being part out and I'm not sure if it'll fit my engine.
