Vote: 2018 Toyota Camry vs 2018 Honda Accord?

I plan on purchasing a new car this summer. I'm mainly interested in the all new Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. I need your opinion on which vehicle you think has a better exterior design.

Accord seems cooler but Hondas are the most stolen cars in the country.

Camry will be very durable if it is from a good batch… Probably run well past 200K miles.

I'm no mechanic or car expert but that is my impression based on all accounts I've heard.

My stepdad bought a brand-new 2015 Accord with push-button ignition during his middle-aged crisis and it looked really cool/fancy.

Hondas have always had better styling than Toyotas, and probably always will. The 19 Camry is fugly.

I would go with the Accord because it has the better warranty. It's 5 years or 60,000 miles while Toyota only gives 3 years or 36000 miles.

I've had 3 Honda and none of them had any major problems. The CRV did have a crack or something on the carburetor and cost about 1200 to fix. That's not bad for a car that had over 100000 miles.

Test drive both and a Mazda 6 and pick one. I have never been in a new car.

HI so your splitting hairs with such a decision.

If I had to choose one over the other based only on exterior styling and nothing else, I guess I prefer the '18 Camry's styling to the '18 Accord's. But that's not saying much.

I find the styling of both cars' front ends to be unattractive to the point of being ugly and over-styled. The saggy rear end styling of the Accord is what makes me "like" the rest of the Camry's styling a little better than the Accord's. The previous generation of Camry and Accord were both better looking than the current ones in my opinion (not necessarily saying they were better CARS just that I liked their styling better, especially the Accord's). But styling preferences are subjective - like what you like.

Our opinion is irrelevant. Get the one YOU like better.

The 2018 Accord isn't even selling well. When I say not selling, I mean "not selling." This is the first time in the history of that car that it has been a slow seller. Dealers are wanting Honda to offer incentives to sell them. With that said, the V6 has been discontinued on the Accord and replaced with a turbo 4. It's basically the same engine used in the Civic Type R but with less power. Not sure how that will feel in a family sedan, but knowing Honda, it should be fine. The new Camry still offers a V6 option and it's still silky smooth. Plus it looks gorgeous. I know that looks are merely subjective, but I think the masses are proving that the new Accord is not a looker. Personally, I think the Camry is the one I'd buy. The new Accord reminds me of the Honda Accord Crosstour. That car was a flop. However, it'll be a great car, even if it isn't a great looking car. Both will get you

To each his own, Jim.

Both the Camry and Accord are extremely good quality and very reliable automobiles. Which has "better" styling and design? That is very debatable and is a matter of opinion.

Both have been redesigned this model year. Some of the design changes are quite intriguing, others are not. For example, the grill on the Accord looks as though there's a piece missing. And the design of the grill on the Toyota looks a bit too much like Darth Vader's helmet.

As one poster suggests the Accord is "not selling". The major reason for this is that Honda is not offering the same sales incentives as is Toyota. Currently an equivalent Camry can be purchased for much less than an Accord. This might chance by the time you are ready to purchase, or maybe not.

Looks and design is in the eye of the beholder. Not just outside. Inside. You are mainly sitting in the car so you got to LIKE the interior or HATE it. That is what you are mainly going to see while you drive. Are the seats comfy? Your But has the final say. As to what matters.
