What are some audio files that can play in my car?

I just got a 2005 Honda Accord LX. When I tried to put CDs in that I burned on my own with.wav files or.mp3 files, nothing plays. I just wanted to know which files that do play in my car. There's also a CD that I made a while back that has ".cda" files. Those play. If there's no other type of audio files that would be able to play in my car, then how can I convert a.wav/.mp3 to a.cda? I have Nero MediaHome if that helps.

Thanks.

Added (1). I've figured out the problem 4 those who may hav the same/ similar problem. When you download the song from your source (I use youtube downloader &it automatically downloads into.mp4 files), make sure its in.mp4 (if not, convert it w/ a simple online converter if you don't already hav 1 installed). Once in.mp4 form drag.mp4 music files to th "burn" column in Windows Media Player. MAKE SURE you DIDN't CONVERT.MP4. Then click start burn and it will automatically go 2.cda form & will play in the car.

Unless the face of the player is marked with the MPS or WMA logos, the only thing that it will play is CD Audio.

  • Help buying this car audio? I'm replacing all the blown or outdated speakers in my 1992 Honda Prelude and want to know if all of these will do fine. The new head unit with 2 pairs of these speakers. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_89692_JVC-KD-R750-FREE-JVC-CS-V628-6.5-Speakers.html and this amp. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_44493_Hifonics-ZRX600.4.html
  • Is there any way I can put in an aux cord to play audio if I only have USB ports? I started leasing a 2019 Honda CR-V recently, and the only inputs seem to be USB ports. My friends like passing around the aux cord when we drive places, and though the CR-V does support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, switching between a lightning cable and a micro-USB seems like a hassle (since they have different phone models). I found some USB to aux adaptors online, but the reviews on them say that they can't be used to do what I want.
  • How much to install an audio system in my car? My car is a 2001 Honda Civic DX Coupe. I want to replace the stereo and also get subs and an amp. I may also need a sub box. Also, I'm new to audio systems and subs so I'm not sure if I should get a pair of 10's, 12's or just a single 15. My budget is around $250-$350 if that's possible. What would you guys recommend?
  • Car's cassette player isn't working. Any other methods to play music from my phone? Whenever I put any cassette component in my car's cassette player it spits it out immediately after. It spits out my cassette adapter AND a regular cassette tape. Basically, is there still hope I can listen to music from my Galaxy S4 via my car? I have a 1999 Honda Civic, if that helps.
