What kind of Gear oil do I use for my Accord?

Please READ THE WHOLE DESCRIBTION BEFORE JUMPING TO ANSWERS; I'm GOING TO USE THIS A SOURCE TO DO MY TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGE. I was wondering what kind of transmission fluid and how many quarts to use for my transmission fluid change. I have a 5 speed manual (stick shift) 1996 Honda Accord LX Sedan NON-Vtech 2.2L SOHC. Please I want details and such. Is there a specific gear oil I need to use and how much?

I have a 97 lx and I use maxlife. 3 quart changes. Drain, fill with 3 quarts. If you want to do a complete change… Do that 4 times. A gallon of maxlife at walmart is only 16.50

Man, I can understand your confusion. I tried online and couldn't get a good answer.
Call a local Honda dealership, ask for Service, and ask them. They'll give you the CORRECT answer, not guesses by jokers like me.

Honda MTF

You should get the honda manual transmission fluid

Still have the owners manual that will tell you. But some do use regular transmission fluid. But best bet call the dealer

If it is rear wheel drive 80 90 oil if it is front wheel better find a manual best look it up I think there's a change up on specs
