What's the point of the different drives in a car?
I have a Honda Accord and it has a D4, D3, D2, and D1. I only use D4. What is the point of the other ones?
And also when would you use neutral? Like when you're going down a huge hill?
Wewe
Your owners manual will tell you more, but you use D3 etc to help hold you back going down steep hills, especially with a trailer. Neutral would not often be used with the engine running. If your car quit driving down the road, you would shift to N to try to restart while it was rolling.
If you ever had to sit in bumper to bumper traffic (on level ground) you would appreciate "Neutral". Why slam it into park when you know you are going tbe inching forward soon? Pop it into N.
D-1 low gear, no shifts.
D-2 stays in 2nd
D-3 shifts low> 1> 2, no O.D.
D-4 w/ overdrive.
- What's the point of a grille? On a car, what's te point of having a grille? Without one you would get better air flow especially on newer hondas i've seen they have like barely any place for airflow.
- Which bike for long drives between Honda CB Shine and TVS Star City? I need it to be comfortable during long drives of around 300kms. And mileage is not an issue as 60kmpl is good and both give that much mileage. So, which would you choose for long drives?
- I just bought a brand new car and I want to get a different car? 3 weeks ago I bought a 2017 Honda hatchback EX and I want to get the touring instead. I haven't made any payments yet just the down payment of $2000. How should I go about getting a diff car? How much would trade in value be? I got the EX for 24000$
- Where is/are the jack point(s) on the engine in a '97 Honda CR-V, for replacing the engine and trans mounts? When replacing engine mounts in any vehicle, one step is to lift the engine slightly. On my '97 Honda CR-V, the bottom side of the engine appears to be mostly obscured by the oil pan. (Of course, trying to use the pan would result in disaster.) Images would be great… Detailed images with arrows, etc, would ROCK!
