When you replace a transmission on a 98?
Honda accord automatic is it a good thing to replace the flexplate and flywheel at the same time?
The flexplate and flywheel are the same part. The flexplate is found on an automatic and a flywheel is on a manual car. If you meant to say torque converter then I would suggest it be replaced at the same time as the trans.
Flexplate is essentially the same as a flywheel. Flywheels are used with a manual transmission while flexplates are used for automatics.
Automatic it is not required to resurface or replace the flex plate because it bolts to the toque converter unless it is damaged but hey you want to spend money that is burning a hole in your pocket by all means it's your car
You have one or the other. A "Flexplate" is a flywheel for automatics. Seldom does a flexplate go sour, but a flywheel can have some were & tear groves in it, or warped.
- What would you do if a lady around 30-37 told you that you were useless and would never amount to anything? She's a well dressed white lady with a brand new Honda SUV and she has a daughter that looks about 12 that is also well dressed and the girl is being rude and both are being very rude to the guy at the counter at Subway. Would it be wrong to curse out the old witch who tried to start a fight and cursed out the subway worker and you?
- Punctured tire replacement - can I replace only 1 tire - is it safe to replace the PUNCTURED tire only? My 2005 Honda Pilot rear left tire was punctured near the threshhold (ie - sidewall), but still usable. Thus the tire dealer patched it only. Should I replace that punctured tire only? Or should I replace the 2 tires on the same axle? Or even buy a whole set of 4 tires? I'm concerned about safety, and thus your best advice is very appreciated.
- Transmission going out on friend's 2004 Impala. Is it possible to install a manual transmission taken from a 1992 Honda Civic in this car? Not worth replacing trans on a car this old, but the engine and everything else are still perfect. My friend was able to get a free manual trans from a 1992 Honda Civic. But i'm not sure whether or not you can use a trans from a different vehicle
