2002 honda divic dx door lock problem?
Hi. I'm a college student and recently bought 2002 Honda civic dx 4dr sedan for my first car.
But, I have a problem with the door lock.
Is there any way to unlock entire door at the same time?
My car doesn't have key fob or master door lock switch.
So, every time I unlock the door other than the driver's side door, I have to pull the lock tab by myself.
There are fuses for the car door locks circuit so be sure all of them check out. All of the fuses are in two fuse/relay boxes: One locates in the under hood and another one is in the under dash. The fuses are:
Under hood box: Fuse # 2 (15A), # 9 (10A), # 16 (20A).
Under dash box: Fuse # 10 (7.5A), #20 (20A).
There's no relay. The Multiplex is the heart of the system and its control the inputs from door switches, lock/unlock switches and outputs to the four door lock actuators (Locates inside of each door)
At each door (The car is a sedan: 4 doors) there's also a switch, an input to the Multiplex Control Unit and to the Alarm/ Security Control Unit (An option for the car), and the door switches is also turn on the dome light if a particular door is open. So make sure all of these switches are working good.
Now back to your description of the problem: It's a little bit unclear on my part of understanding your wording: When you push the Lock/Unlock switch at each door (Besides the Driver door): Does that door lock or unlock good?
If each of the Right front, Right rear and Left rear door does not lock or unlock that door when that door lock/unlock button is activate, then either the lock/unlock button or that door lock actuator is defected. It hard for me to believe that the car has 3 defected door lock actuators or 3 defected door lock/unlock buttons. It's common cause would be the Multiplex Unit or it's in the wiring.
I've included the related wiring diagram, get someone who knows how to read the diagram and how to check the Multiplex Unit or checking the wiring out: The wires are usually breaking off in the harness between the door and the door jam. Send me a message if you need more help. HTH
