2007 4 Cylinder Honda Civic Smells like rotten eggs
Just this morning I started up my car let it run an it to warm up and I started to smell rotten eggs. I thought it was from outside but now I'm in a different parking lot and same smell. What do I do?
No check engine light
Cheap gas with a high sulfur content turns to hydrogen sulfide in the catalytic converter
Buy better gas from some where else.
It isn't cheap gas. That's typically caused by a bad catalytic convertor.
Neither excess sulfur in the gasoline (the US limit is now 10 ppm, since January 1 2017) nor a bad catalytic converter; it is something making the mixture too rich. In the lack of oxygen the combustion favors forming hydrogen sulfide rather than sulfur dioxide. Without enough oxygen the converter can't help, either.
Try a different brand.
- Scooter smells of raw gas after shutdown? Have checked for leaks, found none. Carb is not draining/overflowing. No fuel in exhaust. No drop in fuel consumption (over 80 mpg). Scooter runs fine, no hesitation, no loss of power. Have changed the oil and it is normal. 2005 Honda Vino 125. Started about a week ago. Thoughts? 2005 Yamaha Vino, my bad. Plugs are ok, no fuel, tan color. I replaced the fuel cap, fuel lines, petcock, carb bowl gasket and air filter. I do not know which part fixed the problem but the smell is gone.
- Interior of the car smells like weed? No one has ever smoked weed in my car before and I haven't either but I'm really curious on why the interior smells like weed usually. Also I have owned this car for years, it's a 2001 Honda Prelude. Why does the interior of my car smell like weed?
- I have a 1993 Honda Civic DX that smells like pot? I don't smoke pot, there's no part in vehicle, there's no stash, the smell is coming from the engine portion not the interior. My oil is perfectly fine, Michael it is perfectly fine, my hoses and belts are fine. I need help.
- 4 cylinder vs 6 cylinder vs 8 cylinder vs 10 cylinder? Which is better to get? On small sized cars such as Honda Civic, Mitsubishi Lancer and Toyota Corolla you're stuck with 4 cylinder, since 6-cylinder is not available as the option What if I get v8 or v10 vehicles… Is there any problems?
