2008 Honda Civic Starter / Wiring?

My 08 Civic won't start. Came to the conclusion that it was the starter so I got a new, got under there to start working and that's when I noticed 2 broken wires hanging there. A pink wire and a black wire in shield tubing running to the wiring harness. Can anyone tell me what these are and where they go?

Shield Tubing is Braided Wire used to enclose wiring to protect it from Radio Frequency (RF) interference. A solid Black wire on a Japanese car is always Ground. Pink is a Power wire color. You should be able to see the other side of the wires if they were cut. And splice them back together. But while you're under there you can jam a wire into the S Terminal on the Starter, the small wire, and touch it to the Battery + to crank it. That will test your Starter. If it clicks or does nothing remove and test the Starter.
