2009 honda civic getting an oil change?
The factory recommends 5w-20 but today i went to autozone and they gave me 5w-30 and i ask him why and he said because of the mileage of the vehicle which is 59,000 miles so its this ok? Will i still have the same gas mileage or something would change?
No real problem. Heavier weight oils are used in higher mileage cars than yours and hot climates. As the engine wears over time, oil consumption goes up. Heavier weight oils reduce, but does not eliminate oil consumption. Real high mileage cars might even to go 50 weight oil.
- 2004 Honda Pilot! I did an oil change today check the manual for the engine oil capacity, it is 4.8 liters and put 4.4 liters and add .5 ltr? Total engine oil put is 4.9 liters and I'm surprised the dipstick is above the second hole by 10mm. Is it overfill or do i need to remove some?
