Can I I potentially keep an abandoned car in Florida?

Someone had asked to keep a car on my property for 4 hours. It's been about 6 weeks. They were evicted from there home so they have no living quarters which is why they asked to leave it at my home. The car has no plates, no title, and does not run. It can be fixed for a small cost. It's a 4 door compact 2002 Honda Civic.

Consult an attorney. The problem is how to get a title. If the owner hasn't been in touch at all, you may qualify for an "abandoned" title after some time period, but I don't know what that is, nor how to file for it

Nothing you can do with this thing now… You can keep it on your property for a long time, but if you want to get rid of it, shove it out into the street. When it's parked on the street the city will finally drag it away and crush it.

Call the DMV on how to fill out paperwork on a abandoned car and get a title made out to your name. Then you can do what you want with it. Own it, sell it

There's usually a civil procedure to obtain ownership of an abandoned vehicle. Check with the Florida DMV.

You need to take reasonable steps to find the guy. You then have to prove you are the legal owner

There are certain legal steps you must take before taking legal possession of the car. You'll have to do your own research on FL law. I know you have to make several attempts to contact the owner via registered mail, etc.
