Can my civic support a good system?

I have a 1996 honda civic coupe (2dr) I have a pioneer detachable headunit, some rear 6x9 pioneer speakers, and I have some some door speakers I took off a bmw and out into my civic (they're dramatically thicker). I want to have a sub and amp installed. I have a sub box with no speaker and the hole circumference is about 10inches. My budget is around 150$, I don't need the best sub and amp, just something for better, louder sounding bass. Any sub and amp combinations that are around my budget? Also I have stock car battery and altanator, to what wattage can the car support? My headlights dim when i turn on the car so my altenator might be weak. Heard somewhere that can affect something! I actually have a 97 Civic 4 door so I assume the electrical is similar, if not identical. A good quality amp will wipe that budget, just saying. All these cheapo amps are cheap in price because they are cheap in quality. My amp is a DB Drive 500w 2ohm monoblock on 2 Kicker Comp 12s. The amp was 180 at my local audio store and the subs were 60ish on Amazon. I believe a 10 is about the same price. So if you can swing this price, this would be a great system for you. Plenty of bass and plenty of wattage for future expansion to dual 10s or even 12s like I have. This amp comes with a bass knob in the box which is a plus. The wire size needed is 6awg power and 14awg output.
