Cars that are reliable, sporty and good on gas under 10k?

Been looking at Mazda 3, Mazda 6, Honda Civic Si, Mitsubishi Lancer and Toyota Corolla S.

Suggestions please?

Either lancer honda( can have some problems but there's so many around they are easy to find parts and really cheap to fix compared t other cars) or an early 2000's or late 90's Subaru wrx or legacy( Subaru are built to be extremely tough )

Horse drawn carrage!

I have an 08 Mazda 3 iSport. It's a cute little car that still looks sporty and it has good gas mileage. I haven't had any issues with it and I bought it brand new, off the lot.

  • What are some good cars that either already have mods or are just sporty in general? Nothing above 5k? And yes i have look at all the sporty hondas and i like them, but i want a V6 casue their faster than V4s stock. but yeah like give me some websites or car names to look up on craigslist.
  • What are some good and reliable sports cars by these brands? I'm looking to buy a sporty type car from one of the more reliable brands. From what I've heard, Toyota, Honda, Acura, and Hyundai are pretty solid. By good and reliable i mean which cars hold their value the longest, which cars are the least expensive to fix if something did go wrong, etc. I'm just looking for a basic list of some good cars that cost less than 20,000. Obviously not looking for brand new cars
  • Transmission fluid turned brown after 10k miles? I have a 2001 Honda Prelude auto and I was wondering how come my transmission fluid turned brown only after driving it for about 10k miles. The car currently has 84k miles on it and I'm hoping the tranny isn't going bad.
  • Are Honda Fit's good/reliable/safe cars? I feel like these are good first cars from reviews etc… And I could get a used one at a decent price (below $6k). Anyway, would you recommend a Honda Fit for a first car?
