Dealer dented my car. What is the proper course of action?
I bought a brand new 2014 Honda Civic EX and noticed that the heated seat doesn't work on the driver side. Took it in for service and they had to order parts and had me come back in. I dropped the car yesterday morning, they filled out the vehicle inspection sheet to ensure that there are no damages to the car. When I picked up my car in the evening I noticed huge dents on the hood and the grill. I spoke to the service rep and the service manager. They took pictures and said they will need to review the video footage to see what happened. The service rep did claim that there were no damages on the car when it was dropped of.
They are going to call me back today and while I wait for it I just want to be ready so that they don't screw me over… And also, the heated seat is still not fixed…
Any suggestions?
What they are trying to determine is if someone else hit your car in the lot so they can go after them for repairs. At any rate the vehicle was in there care and they are responsible for its safe keeping.
Exercise some patience while they sort this out. You are not going to get screwed, they can't stay in business doing underhanded things.
- Dealer told me it was a Honda Certified pre-owned car, but I never received anything from Honda saying so? What should i do? The car now needs repairs and the dealer lied to me about the certification. Do I have any rights?
- Can I ride right after the MSF course? I want to buy a Honda CMX250 but I don't have an suv or pickup truck to haul it in. So would I be able to learn how to ride it home after my MSF course? It's a 2 day course from 9-5. Oh and I already have experience riding in the streets with my 50cc scooter. I will not be taking any highways either since it's only 15 minutes away
- What is proper tire pressure for most passenger cars? I stop at quick lube for oil change- they say air pressure it too high… Maybe 35 -38 pounds. They lower it to 30. Then I look on the tire and it says max press- 51 pounds! What is it supposed to be? Honda CRV… Okay- thanks for all the info. I got it now. 30 on the Honda… On the old Volvo V70 its 32 front and 30 rear up to 500# weight of cargo and passengers. And 38 all the way around for 500-1000# Thats all cold tire pressure.
- I bought a used car from the dealer 2008 honda civic si, did i pay to much? I paid 16k and opted for 220 a month payments. the car has 35000 miles on it. Its standard, with navigational system, sunroof, power window. I'm asking becaue i have people telling me its worth way less. Nada blue book seems to think so but kelly blue book says 16,700 the high mark.
